MAVERICK WATERFOWLERS HOMESTEADER LODGE

Our Log Lodge is designed to be an experience from the past, a time when this area was first explored and settled. A time of the homesteader, the lodge is unplugged, heated by woodstove, lanterns give light at night, an incredibly cozy environment.

The two-level log lodge has two huge bedrooms upstairs, an open loft with patio-doors, which open onto a large raised observation deck, with chairs for relaxing in the sun. Downstairs there are another two large bedrooms. All bedrooms have log beds with fresh linen and blankets. The rest is open plan living room, kitchen, and entrance area. A large woodstove sits in the middle. There is always lots of firewood to keep a blazing fire going.

We have one half mile of lakeshore, a lake teeming with wildfowl of all descriptions. Our home and lodge are adjacent to each other and sit right on the shoreline. On the Observation Deck at the lodge you can watch the many species of birds at your leisure, including the rare Trumpeter Swans. This deck faces west and sunsets are breathtaking all year round. Reaching out into the lake is our canoe dock and access to the lake. Canoes and Kayaks are right there for your use.

Overnight rentals start in May until the end of August.
